IonQ is the preferred stock to buy over Rigetti due to being larger, more stable, having more liquidity, and stronger institutional/government support.

In fact, the two companies I will be comparing in this video, Rigetti and IonQ, are not performing well. They are underperforming the S&P index. But which of these two companies is the better stock to buy now?
If you are a high- risk investor looking for big deals, which is the better buying option?
IonQ is the largest quantum computing company when measured by revenue over the past 12 months, as evidenced when compared to Regetti. AeonQ generated $247 million in revenue over the past 12 months, compared to just $13 million for Regetti.
Furthermore , AeonQ's revenues showed more consistent growth and expansion, while Ragete's revenues were more volatile and unstable.
Similarly, AeonQ received support from both the US government and banking institutions . Currently, most of the revenue generated by these companies comes from government agencies or research institutions that are trying to study and increase the use of information surrounding this sector.
It does not yet generate meaningful revenue from commercial enterprises or commercially viable positions.
When you're at the stage that Ragete and AionQ are going through, it requires a completely different skill set. You are trying to recruit very intelligent individuals to your organizations, who are willing to work based on potential, and who are willing to work for a salary of course, but also to accept equity shares and receive stock- based compensation as payment for working for the company.
Therefore, at the moment, cash flow and profits are significantly negative. -184% for IonQ, and -455% for Regetti.
I don't have that with "Regetti" or "Ion Q". This makes evaluating them more difficult. As for IonQ and Rigetti, they were fortunate to experience the euphoria that investors went through regarding quantum computing stocks, as I mentioned earlier that their stock prices jumped by several thousand percent.
They took advantage of that opportunity, sold shares to the public, and obtained cash. I believe that was a shrewd move to take advantage of those euphoric events.
IonQ now has $2.1 billion in cash and short-term investments on its balance sheet, and has more short-term liquidity that it can tap into if needed. This is a lot of criticism in order for the company to reach the next milestone.
In fact, based on the most recent quarterly cash burn rate, this amount is enough for the company to continue for several years.
According to this metric, Rigetti shares are trading at a forward to sales price of 113, while IonQ is trading at 35. Both are trading at lower levels compared to the peak of quantum computing enthusiasm just over a year ago.
Thus, both are trading at more attractive valuations than they were previously.
But if I had to choose, if I had to choose between these two stocks to buy today, I would choose IonQ as it is the larger, more expansive and stable company, with more liquidity in its bank account, more relationships with major institutions, and receiving larger total amounts of support from the government and research institutions.
