MU is consolidating tightly with compressed volatility; a large breakout is expected soon, but the direction is currently unknown and confirmation is needed before buying.

I'm sorry. I'm looking at micron trying to break out and I don't want to miss it.
You mentioned you're you're watching Micron. I do want to talk about the memory space. Uh you know after Nvidia's report last week and then you know Dell this week the the hardware the chipmakers etc are doing really well.
Micron also being a chipmaker but uh you know more on the memory side than the the computing side.
but yeah, the memory space was obvious thing on the street, right? How tight they are. Um, but when you have volatility come out and compress like that and compress compress, it's only natural that the next move's going to be monstrous.
I hope it's to the upside because a lot of us got long, but sometimes it's to the downside. Compression simply means a much bigger move is on the horizon. One would think SanDisk and Micron trading at the valuations they're trading at in a bullish environment will be a breakout to the upside, but there no guarantees and semis are a bit soft today notably because of Broadcom. So, they're having a tough time.
But, uh me and half of Twitter or X are all looking at the same thing. Uh you know, pull back from highs. Yes, it it bounced off recent lows, but long story short, it's off highs. it's been trading really really tight.
Is that breakout to the upside or downside? Um, and it's not an easy trade, right? Because if you look at other arenas uh within tech, you have Broadcom trading down. You have Nvidia leading while Marll sucking wind.
You have a lot of um leadership from a few key names and then you have a lot of broken names.
so naturally now is it okay memory is too cheap the guidance is too strong they won't break down like that or they're going to break down as well. We'll see. But when they're tight, you got to pay attention because they're about that they're about to expand and that means a micron a 50 100 point move and a very short period of time will cut.
So that's what I'm doing. I'm watching getting little like cuts here and there. I make a little money then I give it away. I've been in and out of it. Right now I'm watching for some confirmation.
Micron will be a better buy higher for a short-term trader, someone who's a swing trader. Look at the next couple weeks.
Confirmation is actually 10 20 points higher than it is now. But it's threatening. Like as we were talking, I thought it might be breaking out. It just pulled back seven or eight.
Bottom line, the they're tight, but there's no real hint as to where they're going yet,
>> the they're tight, but there's no real hint as to where they're going yet, which Micron still still hasn't reported earnings either. There's always the 22nd. They're super late.
The last company still over two weeks away. In fact, I always think of them as a reminder that earning season's about to start.
We should really honestly just consider them like the beginning of the next earning season. But that catalyst is definitely on the way. So, I guess we'll see how the stock moves into that print and then you and I can talk about the print ahead of it.
>> micron. I got excited for a minute. I was like in case it's going to go. If you notice, I didn't buy it, but I was like, is this the moment? It just pulled back 13 points. So, keep your eyes open, but don't overdo things, or else you just get a million cuts.
