Nio's recent sales and battery swap milestones show momentum, but its China-centric strategy requires international expansion soon to mitigate risk.

looking at some of these EV companies this morning. BYD, Tesla, Xpong, and NEO. We got Neo earnings tomorrow morning.

if we look at this in in terms of uh you know NEO tomorrow morning if there's a less a smaller pie are these companies going to have to look elsewhere for more opportunity

All right. And so, like I said, we got NEO earnings tomorrow. It was sort of initially sold, I guess, the marketplace is sort of the Chinese counterpart to Tesla because it was a little bit nicer vehicle at the time.

It seems like it's been passed over by some of its peers. Is that a safe uh I guess characterization or is this still uh one of the leaders when it comes to EVs in China?

If you look at Neo's recent sales, especially just this first half of the year, they're actually firing on all cylinders. They're uh they've made battery swapping a thing and cumulatively they've hit over a 100red million battery swaps now. So that's a huge huge milestone.

And the vehicle that they're leaning into is kind of like the B segment premium vehicle, the ES8. That is around 40 to $55,000 in China. So, it's a premium vehicle, but it's shipping around 10,000 units a month, which is something that they hadn't been able to do for for forever.

And if you look at their multibrand strategy, they have Envo and Firefly. All three brands have been growing this first half of the year. So I expect them tomorrow to continue to discuss building on that momentum.

But if we look at NEO from a global standpoint, they are the most China focused brand. And so to mitigate some of that risk, they're likely going to have to look at foreign markets at the end of this year or beginning of next.
