Nvidia's acquisition of Hugging Face is a positive strategic move that reinforces its role in powering AI infrastructure and supports its long-term dominance.

Welcome, it's time to turn our attention to Nvidia after its announcement of the acquisition of "Hugging Face" yesterday. Nvidia is paying nearly $13 billion for " Hugging Face". It is its second largest acquisition ever.
What does Nvidia see here that makes "Hugging Face" worth this kind of price premium? Local models are just another way for Nvidia to provide those chips, the amazing chips we talked about that support the American economy.
Therefore, Nvidia believes that the future of artificial intelligence is entirely with the major leading companies, but it will continue to evolve, and much of it will become local.
I think that's what Nvidia is thinking, and overall it's a very good move.
When you consider the added value of that to Nvidia's long-term strategy, I mean, looking at the last two years, they've moved from GPUs to networking, to software, and to full AI systems.
I mean, where does this fit with their continued dominance in owning the entire AI package? Well, I don't think they necessarily own the package, but they provide the power, the thing that powers it.
I think this is what Nvidia is investing its money in, the idea that people will want customized models. it will all work on Nvidia chips. They need to do this now because all the leading labs are cutting their own costs and have started manufacturing their own chips.
So, this is certainly a good path for Nvidia, because many of those labs are changing course somewhat.
So, let's talk about where Nvidia will be if this deal goes through. It is at the same time a dominant resource for the computing capabilities that power artificial intelligence.
I mean, it was primarily trained on Nvidia chips, and Nvidia actually provides power to anyone who wants to use it. Nvidia will only be there to sell the chips to anyone who really wants them.
So, I think Nvidia has room to maneuver at the moment, but all these other companies realize that this is the way to make money in the age of artificial intelligence. So, as we look at this and with Nvidia now in control, what does Nvidia need to do differently than it did previously to ensure its security, now that it is responsible for such a massive open ecosystem?
So, I think Nvidia, that's what they were doing. They have many open-source templates that you can use for free on their website. It will be a place where you won't necessarily have to use Nvidia chips, but they will offer a lot of security, and a more substantial investment.
I think Nvidia will do a good job in this regard.
