Target's long-term uptrend is expected to continue based on technical strength (higher highs/lows, RSI > 40).

Target operates in the consumer staples sector, and its charts have been among the best for a long time. Frankly, the fees of the major retailers were uneven, but Target announced its earnings in mid-August, and that's what happened after this big price move, and we saw important updates after the earnings announcement, and then from there. The price dropped slightly.
On a tactical timescale, the price has fallen back to a rising 50-day moving average, which has provided support several times during 2026, but it's the long-term trend that I really like.
We have generally recorded higher peaks and troughs. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) has never fallen below 40 during pullbacks, which is evidence of a sustained upward trend.
Therefore, I would say that the evidence points to a continuation of the upward trend rather than a major collapse.
I will definitely be watching the 50-day moving average on Target's chart.
