Here, Jean Monster is predicting that Tesla's stock rally amid the NT uh NHTSA cyber cab probe. He calls it a speed bump for Elon Musk.
Gene Mudster here saying that this is could actually cause the stock to rally. investor Gene Monster of Deep Water Asset Management thinks that Tesla, ticker TSLA, their shares could rally after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, or NHTSA, announced it was probing the Elon Musk EV makers plan to deploy 1,000 units of the cyber cab in Austin.
I understand that there were actually some some fatalities and a bunch of people injured and obviously hearts and prayers goes goes out to all of that. But did you folks notice that it stopped like right before this gigantic parking lot of robo cabs?
I I I could not help notice it. I was like, "That's a bunch of parked Tesla cyber cabs or robo cababs or whatever the proper word is." It It was It was close. It was close to getting taken out by that plane. I'm I'm glad that that didn't happen at least.
Anyway, Gene Monster says, "Quote, I think Tesla is up tomorrow on the NHTSA detail that Tesla is ready to roll out 1K cyber cabs in Austin. Tesla is actually down here in the pre Oh, no, excuse me.
Tesla's up here in the pre-market by about a dollar." He was right on that about that.
The investor, Gene Monster, said in a post on social media platform X on Monday that he thinks that the Tesla is ready to roll with the cyber cabs in Austin. The investor then pointed to his earlier prediction that the EV giant would deploy 300 cyber cabs in Austin by the end of the month.
Quote, "That's bullish for the stock because it shows Tesla's confidence in safety is higher than most thought." End quote. and he was referring to the 1,00 cyber cab unit goal, adding that it was quote particularly positive g given Elon's history of paranoia on the topic end quote.
Monster then expect expressed optimism about the NHTSA probe, calling it a speed bump from Musk. Quote, they'll eventually give in, then it's off to the races. End quote.
On September 3rd, NHTSA initiated a audit query on the Tesla's Cyber Cab fleet to determine if the vehicles were in compliance with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards or FMVSS despite lacking traditional controls like a steering wheel and pedals.
Quote, NHTSA is opening this AQ to examine the process of technical data on which Tesla relied when certifying the cyber cabs and related issues. End quote. The agency said that in audit query.
Investor Ross Gerber, who is the co-founder of investment firm Gerber Kawasaki, issued a warning to Tesla owners as Musk plans an Airbnb and Uber technology inspired business model for Tesla's robo taxi network.
Beves says, "I'm very bullish on Tesla after the cyber cabs are in the market. Not because cyber cab only but I now have faith in his words for optimist even if it's not 2027 I believe it should be the market by 2028."
So you're saying that be if this happens if the cyber cab thing happens then hey maybe his predictions about optimist even if they're a little bit late will probably happen too.
And obviously we've talked about Optimus being a major driver for Tesla's profitability and revenue and way more than the cyber cap.
um ASML, Intel, probably two names that are going to uh go uh very well together with Tesla uh because that Terraab um massive building that they're uh already actually uh starting on uh out here near College Station that's supposed to be done in 2028.
I don't know how they're going to do it in 2028, but it's supposed to be done in 2028. We're talking like a massive undertaking here. Um, and they may use uh that uh next generation uh lithography uh or EUV light that I was mentioning.
Uh that's must have been like a month or two ago, I'm sorry, back in back in May. Uh free electron lasers. Apparently, that's something that uh this Terrafab may end up utilizing and ASML will still be a big part of that.
I like Tesla. I think I mean all this I I'm seeing all the stuff they're doing out here. I'm So now I'm I'm getting really really big into uh their expansion. I mean they are just pumping stuff out.
Yeah. And I'm I'm extremely interested in this. I'm obviously uh a fan of Tesla especially given that I'm using SpaceX AI and and actually paying for it and supporting that. So uh I'm really really interested just taking a look at the fiveminute chart here on Tesla.
Look at the range that this thing has been in just over the past several sessions. Look at the range. Just absolutely incredible.
Tesla ripping. Tesla is ripping to the upside. Let's let me keep an eye on the on the uh options here for Tesla. I'm seeing Intel calls get bought initially, some Tesla calls, but this is only Yeah, there here they come.
Here they come. More Tesla call sweeps to the upside. 355s looks like they got bought. 357 and a halfs are getting bought.
Chris says, "Watching Tesla for a run above 360 and a rejection." So, you're >> I think it just was there. It just got there. I think it >> it's testing 360 right now. Are you looking for that rejection at 360 or at some point above it? I guess I'm not clear on that.
Oh jeez, look at Ionic. >> That's NQ. >> Mhm. That just went up to almost uh 44 after opening uh you know around 42. So this I mean I don't know how we're going to you know how this is going to trade today but um it's you know getting some excitement into the event which I would be concerned about uh that as a sell the news event when the event happens at 12:30 uh seeming as how we're running up into it.
Now maybe I'm wrong and they're going to say just some awesome stuff and it's going to keep going. But um you know my first initial reaction when I see a runup into an event is oh this might get sold into because I've seen it happen a lot.
Speaking of getting sold into the SpaceX 150 level also got hit again here. So it looks like this was resistance in the pre-market. Remember we really struggled with this on Friday.
Now lower we go here on SpaceX. Only down by 1 and a.5%. Here's what it looks like on the daily though. We'll see where SpaceX settles here. And what's interesting about this is that this is a notable divergence from the Tesla move that we looked at right out of the open here.
This thing just immediately shot higher. >> Tesla over Oh, it went up to 362. Tesla's still going up.
Chris says if Tesla continues to catch a bid above 361, I'd look for 364 and I think it's probably going to move back down from that. So we talked about Tesla. I still see call sweeps going off here for Tesla.
These are not the zero DTE like we saw in the past either. These are ones for this week or tomorrow at at minimum.
>> Uh 365. Sorry. He said if we if we continue to push above 361, it kind of looks like we're slowing down, but if we continue to push, he said 364 was the level there.
Yeah, cuz uh on Friday we we uh tried to uh crawl into the 365 area uh initially and then we were rejected. So that could that could be where that resistance is coming from.
Tesla, Micron. More Tesla puts. More Tesla puts. Now Tesla's got mixed call uh or mixed option activity here. You can see how good were Chris's spots here. Thing went to 462. So, it was right about 461 before it reversed here, Chris.
I think Tesla's coming into that support area could be a little bit lower like around uh 35550 or 355 even. Uh but on Friday when we you know lost all those levels and we uh the price kept trying to come back up and regain uh those levels it was that 355 area where it constantly was getting rejected.
So I think that now that we're above it and we've you traded above it in the pre-market and we've recaptured that level that's now going to become support. So I think if we do get down to the to you know 355 35550 the support's going to be somewhere in there.
Now we are bouncing off the 200 EMA on the five minute. So uh you know just shy of where I'm looking at here but this thing is moving quite a bit.
>> Uh wellness matters says that the Tesla chart looks super bearish. Are you talking about the daily the intraday chart? Let me know what you think on that one. I mean, we haven't come uh broken the downtrend that we're in.
So, to his point, uh since the uh we hit the high of 49883, um we have not, you know, snap that the downtrend. You can draw a trend line from that high through the uh the other highs since then.
And you'll find that we have are still in this downtrend here. So, if that's what you're referring to, I agree.
Tesla is getting support in that uh the low three or the mid 350s. Didn't quite hit the level I'd like to see it hit, but got pretty close. doesn't look like it is uh recovering quite yet.
Has to still get above the VWAP. So, if it gets rejected there, we could end up getting that um level I'm looking for.
All right, looking around here. And higher Tesla that came all the way back in and is trying to bounce again. So maybe we get another retest to that 361 362 area on Tesla
Tesla moving over VWAP, looking to get back into the 360 uh handle. Uh Tesla lot of call buying again now and and again just to be clear these are the calls that expire tomorrow.
So these are shortterm Tesla trades. I wonder if this thing tries to break that intraday high again.
Gary mentioning that SpaceX is moving licensely. Now this is interesting. We talked about SpaceX diverging from Tesla this morning. That was trading straight back down. SpaceX right back on here and above VWAP.
tomorrow another 319 million shares unlock with SpaceX. That's their next. Well, the more that these unlock, the heavier the float's going to get. It's probably going to make for uh you know, well, it's going to make it less easy to push around.
Uh there's that whole lot of large numbers that comes into play. I I think this is gonna it's it's going to make it more and more difficult to uh uh to try and trade up uh the more as more shares unlock, but you know, they've got a lot of positive catalysts that could just nullify that.
At the same time, uh there's also going to be another unlock uh later this month.
I haven't seen any impact and I've been in SpaceX through all of them.
it is uh Wednesday, September uh 9th, tomorrow when uh more shares unlocked. There's only been two instances where shares have unlocked. That was Q2 earnings and uh the August tunch.
Uh we still have uh se two September tunches, two October tunches, and Q3 earnings, which is going to unlock even more shares. And then uh the 180day unlock which is December 20 uh sorry December 8th and then Elon's shares unlock June 12th next year.
Although I suspect those shares won't get sold anyway. That's not Elon's style, if you will. The floats is going to get heavier and heavier as as you know between now and Q3 earnings.
Tesla back up near the highs of the regular session. Yeah, but I tell you what, the call buying has really kind of dictated the the direction on Tesla and it has for several uh several different sessions.
More Tesla calls. And look at that, Ken. Right back to 362.
new highs in Tesla. Chris, uh you had mentioned earlier Tesla three now. Is 364 back on? Yeah. Oh, we're pulling a little bit. I Chris, I'd be curious to know if 364 for Tesla's back on.
Still no closes over 362 on that five minute chart. We printed over it, not closed above it. And we have 5 seconds left in this candle.
Uh Joe. Okay. So So Joe here saying, "Lol, a little bitter about this Tesla bounce. I closed my calls for a $500 loss this morning."
Tesla trying to hit 362 again. We have no intro uh we have no session uh five minute candles closing over 362. We have printed over that. Have not closed over it yet. >> Maybe this time we would
>> >> look at this uh movement here from Tesla. So, last candle uh we uh did pop over 362 again. The close was 36199 and we turn around and we start coming in again. Uh but we're holding up here still in the 360s.
This is having a hard Tesla is having a hard time with 362. It sure is. So, Chris, I know you talked about 361 earlier. It sure looks like 362 is actually that that uh sticky spot there.
I guess my question is if 362 snaps, do you go to 364,
>> Um gosh, EKS, would you rather own Google or Tesla here? Both close to similar prices. Regardless if they're similar prices, I think the the thought here for me is what's each company going to do?
What's their future outlook look like? And they both have great future outlooks. So, I mean, I just throw a dart in the wall and I'll get it. I mean, it's gonna be one or the other.
They're I think they're both great. I'd say Google probably better, but I, you know, I think they're both great, you know.
Sure, Google. I I would just go with that, I guess. Even though I would still buy a Tesla equally. >> I think got a lot going on for >> If you had asked me three months ago 13, I wouldn't have even thought about this.
I would have just answered Google immediately and and not thought about it. But I I actually think a little bit differently now after watching SpaceX, after thinking about SpaceX AI, the AI theme, all of that stuff and how the SpaceX just a lot of this kind of plays into this.
Tesla obviously, you know, um in that as well. You've talked about the Tesla terraab, the chip design, the optimism. We've talked about all of the stuff here. To me, changing. I'm not I'm not sure that it's just as easily Google as I thought before.
>> Yeah, Tesla for me is is right now. Now, I mean, I know that they've got coming up, but right now, because they're actually building these things and deploying them is is what they're doing with the grid with their mega packs and mega blocks.
Uh they're I mean, they just opened a facility not too far from me that is building these things and they're deploying them. Um this is and and you know, we're already still we're still talking about how data centers are going to continue to get built.
I don't think that's going to stop. And these uh the devices they're making are going to help with grid stability and on the behind the meter plays as well for their own uh stability.
So I think that Tesla's you know everything else not being considered. They they they are killing it right now with this this electric electrification buildout.
By the way, Tesla broke through 362. >> Tesla, as you can see from the scanner here, tons of unusual option uh call activity on Tesla. >> Yeah. Um, you know, there's there's a guy that actually goes out to the uh the site where Terapab's being built and he uh just has a drone fly around and and just, you know, shows all the different things that are uh getting built and what everything's being sectioned off for and it's really informative.
Uh let me see if I can pull that up for you. But it's, you know, this this terra thing is just really got me uh intrigued.
>> sure. Uh what do you want me to talk about while you're gone? Cuz I was looking up uh something I could send them. Oh, you know what? Let's just talk Tesla because this thing is running.
>> I was just going to say let me throw Tesla up on the big chart here. This will be very very quick. I'll be right back.
>> Okay. So, we are coming up to not not uh you know, we're coming up to some of the the the lows the from uh uh Thursday last week. Um that's where I think this price is headed for now. uh that low which was also I think the uh pretty close to the open uh it was the open was 36582.
I have a you know I get the sense that this is where this is headed right now after that break of 362. So that would be the next uh area of resistance that I'd be keeping an eye on here is just you know in that 65 handle just shy of 366.
Okay, perfect for you're you're it's you're really close to where I'm looking at too. Excellent. That's and I I think that that's where this is uh trying to push to. We got to 36475.
Now that we've gotten above 362, let's uh see that act as resistance if the price does come back down here again.
>> Okay. So, you you were saying Chris, you were saying 372 after that now. Um 372. What's up? This did exactly what Chris said. >> What? >> This went to 361. We talked about maybe 362.
Broke it. Went to 364. These were the levels that he had. Good stuff, Chris.
>> Now, the 372, is this from like a potential? Well, I mean, I don't think there would be a gap fill since we already filled the gap. But are you looking at the July 22nd uh candle for
