Now let's talk about Nvidia. CEO Jensen Huang is speaking live on CNBC right now, following news about their new platform.
Yes, this is a strategic and smart move by Nvidia to keep the AI architecture within its products. Therefore, they are proposing a new framework or platform that will control the performance of AI agents , and allow programmers to set controls that ensure they work within the specified standards and do not deviate from them.
What is also interesting is that part of this new platform, or its construction, is open source. They will allow companies or developers to build their applications on this basic framework.
This is similar to what we saw with CUDA. I mean, CUDA was, once again, a framework they introduced, but now we see new additions being introduced constantly, many of them introduced by some customers who use their environment or ecosystem.
Now, NVIDIA is not only trying to be a benchmark for safety in the field of artificial intelligence, but also made an announcement this morning that raised the stock price by about 1%.
The board approved a $150 billion increase in the share buyback program , bringing the total to $235 billion .
This raises questions for many investors and traders: When and where will they use this capital? It also appears that they will put more pressure on the stock by withdrawing some of the traded shares from the market.
So, we have two pieces of news that are driving positive sentiment towards this stock this morning. Let's see if it holds up, but I think the safety factor, along with the share buyback factor, is what's giving it positive flows this morning , while we see other AI stocks falling.
