Another result of the modular manufacturing system is a significant reduction in the factory space required to actually produce these things and a much higher production rate, meaning more CyberCab cars are produced per minute, per hour, and per day from a much smaller factory.

I would have asked more: How do they compete with the cost of Tesla's hardware, like the Cybertruck, on the road at a certain cost versus a much higher cost for everyone else?"

But I think what I take away from Jason, his basic argument behind the thesis of why Tesla and NEO will be essentially converging in self-driving vehicle market share a decade from now, is that Uber must, and will, work with regulators to purposefully slow the rollout of self-driving on a large scale to protect the jobs of people who drive today for a living and don't have a Plan B, C, D, or E.

That is, by slowing down the rollout of self-driving cars and working with regulators to stop companies like Tesla, for example, from rapidly and widely expanding their safe and affordable self-driving vehicles across the planet.

This will result in both Uber and Tesla having a comparable market share of self-driving vehicles about a decade from now.
