“Don’t Use Stock Market Seasonality Without Checking This”
Ulta has strong September seasonality (up 72% of time) but is currently downtrending; bullish signal only if price clears 580 pivot.
So the first one that I would pull up is Alta. So Alta, if we go back and we look over the last 20 years, now that's going to include September of 2026. Well, this is being recorded in August, so there is no data in September, so it doesn't matter.
But let's just look at let's get rid of 2026. We'll just look at the last 20 years, 19 years in the case of Alta. And September has been up 72% of the time. SE 72% of September we've seen Alta advance.
That's almost three out of every four with November and March being the only two calendar months that go up more often for Alta than September. So that's a pretty good seasonal performance, right?
