They angered Amazon. They opened a Nike store on Amazon and then somewhat backed away from it. Therefore, they lost display space in all retail stores such as "DEX" and all important places.
They currently rely on the "Jordan" brand. Almost 30 years after Michael Jordan's retirement. It sounds unbelievable, but this is still their pinnacle. It seems that everything that could have gone wrong has already gone wrong.
They now have stronger competitors than ever before. Also, the stock may not be a buying opportunity. It may still be unattractive. The athletes no longer need them. Before Michael Jordan, I'm not saying it didn't help launch Nike, but it did help launch his career as well.
