Oracle is a long-term buy based on huge AI backlog and enterprise moat; short-term trading is volatile.

Oracle is the next stock on our list. That's ticker OCL. Co-founder Larry Ellison has scrapped a plan to sell up to 50 million shares of the cloud computing giant. That's worth about 7.5 billion based on the previous closing price of the company shares.
Oracle shares down another 3.58% in the pre-market.
This is going to be on Oracle, and we talked about this when Oracle uh posted its earnings last week. Oracle's AI fortress goes beyond OpenAI, and an analyst is now calling this essential.
Remember, we talked about Oracle's backlog being unbelievably huge and that this company in the next 36 months is going to realize something like 330 billion dollars in revenue from their backlog alone.
Oracle, ticker OCL stock fell nearly 4% in Monday's pre-market trading as weakness across technology stocks weighed on sentiment. The stock fell as investors reassessed the outlook for artificial intelligence infrastructure spending.
However, the pre-market weakness comes as some investors remain bullish on Oracle's longerterm artificial intelligence opportunity. That's the camp I fit into. KKM financial founder Jeff Kilberg called Oracle quote an essential stock and quote to own as the software giants expand its role in AI infrastructure.
Speaking on CNBC on Friday, Kilberg pointed to Oracle's latest quarterly results and growing backlog as evidence of strong demand. Kilberg said quote they beat on so many metrics end quote. and he highlighted the remaining performance obligations or RPOS which he said increased by about $26 billion.
Oracle shares initially jumped about 7 and 12 to 8% following those results. However, the rally faded after the stock stalled around 164 to 166.
Kilberg attributed part of the reversal to heavy options activity. Traders had bought more calls than puts ahead of the report raising expectations for a move towards 175. When the rally stalled, shortdated options activity helped drive the shares lower, but still Kilberg said long-term in longerterm investment cases remain intact.
Quote, "We believe it's an essential name." End quote. And he told that to CNBC. Kilberg also pointed to Oracle's deep presence across Fortune 500 companies. Its software can be costly and difficult for consumers to replace.
That installed base also gives Oracle an opportunity to sell customers more AI computing capacity.
He also played down concerns about Oracle's exposure to open AI. Even if OpenAI were to falter, Kilberg argued that demand for computing infrastructure would remain. Another AI company could potentially just use that capacity instead.
His comments underscore the broader investment thesis around Oracle. Individual AI winners may change, but demand for the infrastructure powering AI could remain strong.
Also, over the weekend, we got news that Larry Ellison cancels his plans to sell his Oracle stock. By the way, that was about $7.5 billion dollar worth of stock that he's now going to hold.
To me, this is an easy one. If Larry Ellison is going to not ring the register and take seven half billion dollars in cash or thereabouts, he probably thinks that's going to be worth more in the future.
I'm very curious. Uh what do you think on Oracle just in general? Perhaps you don't even need to focus on Larry Ellison and his stock uh selling plans and all of that, but what do you think on Oracle? Short-term, long-term, both.
Uh Oracle, I think that's what you meant, not Cassle. I think you meant Oracle. O and K are close to each other on the keyboard, so I can understand that. By the way, gold climbing off of its low, Ryan, here's Oracle.
It's back above its VWAP. Would really think that we want think we need Oracle back above 145, though.
Bot did take a new trade here in Oracle. So, we'll see if this one ends up working here. Again, I did put a lot of those tech names on the dip by sleeve of the bot here today. I'll see if I can get or man, what on earth is going on?
Let me try refreshing pro here. Uh we'll see if that's good. Oracle popped looks like it's trying to go higher, but we'll see.
I'm long Oracle. Let's see if that help.
and it actually just closed Oracle. That looks like a seat flip. Closed out oracle for scratch. entered Marll as a replacement FYI.
what it did was it tossed um oh my god what was that stock there? Why can't I remember things? uh toss Oracle out in exchange for Marll.
bot seems to be doing the right thing. Tossed out Oracle cuz it wasn't making its move. Now Oracle pulling back here to the VWAP. So giddy up. Like to see that.
