“Can A Hot CPI Force a Fed Rate Hike? | PreMarket Playbook | September 11, 2026”

GEV is a strong performer; dips are buy opportunities, and price action suggests potential upside after current consolidation.

So, GE Vernova, we look at this one all the time because it's a highf flyier. Options are really um >> options are really juicy here. I mean, they're absolutely fantastic here.

And they're running. Everything's running to the north.

So, if we stare this down and we say, "All right, let's take a peek at what this chart's been doing." It is really trying to hold the floor. It's really trying to hold the floor.

And that to me says, hey, these dips, they're going to be buys.

GEV is a good holding due to multi-year turbine backlog and ongoing grid supply constraints.

GE Vernova, trading under the symbol GEV, also manufactures gas turbines that everyone is scrambling to get their hands on, with delivery slots already sold out for the next few years.

Constellation Energy and Vistara control the irreplaceable nuclear power this decade, and GE Vernova turbines are fully booked for years. As long as the network suffers from supply constraints, I am happy to own these three companies.

GEV has a structural moat (5-year turbine backlog) but recent earnings disappointment (-22% profit miss) makes it less attractive than other opportunities.

GEV is a strategic chokepoint. You cannot deliver turbines and grid equipment on a large scale before years of build-up. The deal still depends on the underlying tools. Ah, GEV.

Remember now, Elon Musk has just begun building his own turbine blades for his own power, for his own data centers. Ah, because the waiting list for turbines is five years. GEV, GVernova, all of these...

It's funny that we're seeing a new kind of artificial intelligence where its bets are tied to industrial things like turbines. What is interesting about this chart, without going into the financial data yet.

Oh, they disappointed with the profits. This is not good. But it seems she likes this level five here and bounces off it. At least she did that for most of the year. This is the good news.

It appears they were subjected to heavy selling, perhaps because they disappointed with their earnings. The price-to-earnings ratio is 25, so it's not expensive. Ah, the revenue exceeded expectations.

This is the problem. They disappointed profit expectations by 22%. Perhaps that's why they suffered a severe blow. The question is, you need to delve into the quarterly reports and find out what the third quarter will look like.

What is their seasonality? In fact, you can see their seasonality here. Ah, they do very well in the latter part of the year. As I said before, the fourth quarter is always strong, even for industrial companies.

So yes, it could be a winning deal. Ah, that's from CD GEV? Yes. Ah, the thing is they're making the turbines as fast as they can and there's still a five-year waiting list , so they're safe, but I think there are better options.

GEV has strong fundamentals (AI tailwind, healthy balance sheet) and is technically in a healthy pullback to support (~$880), presenting a low-risk long opportunity.

All right. So let's dive into your first pick today. You've got GE Vernova. They're outperforming the market year to date, but they've lost some of that momentum recently.

And GE Novo was very high on that list with the total debt percentage of assets being at 3.53%. Free cash flow quarter-over-arter growth is 7% positive EPS revisions, but you're right, trailing from a month.

But that tells me fundamentally it's healthy from a balance sheet, especially if I'm looking as debt.

GEV benefits from component shortages driving pricing power and margin expansion; gas capacity ramp supports growth despite balance sheet concerns.

We'll talk about where the margins are for company like GE Vernova in comparison.

Uh keep in mind that there are a lot of sections when it comes to these turbine engines. You've got uh the hot section, which is the slowest and most expensive, and it includes things like the compressor discs, casings, uh the fuel nau nozzles, the you know, aerosolizers.

I probably screwed up that word, but basically the little um in injectors that spray the fuel into the actual combustion component of a turbine engine. Uh you've got uh the rotors, the generators, heat recovery, cooling.

There's a lot. GE Vernova says all of those components are a limiting factor, not just the blades and veins. So, there's a little bit of a clash between the two.

GEV needs to hold support near 835-840 to potentially find a bottom and reverse; current status is watchful for stabilization.

I I did want to ask you really quick about GEV. This has been a big winner for us before. This thing is coming back into the 200. We're actually near the end of a parallel channel that we have identified here that might also provide it some support.

Stock is down 2.65% here today. Do we have any thoughts on where GEV might be a buy again?

GEV is a longer-term buy at the 840-850 support zone, but a daily close below 948 would be bearish.

All right, GEV. Now this is a this is more of a longer term play but what's noticed to me is on this trend line now has gotten hit five times. So after these trend lines get uh you know after they act as support only there's only so many more hits that this trend line will give a bounce to the upside and we'll break to the downside.

So right away we have five now hits on this trend line. So and the the hits are getting more frequent. Just today we're bouncing pretty cleanly off it. you know, nice recovery to see for GE Verona, the energy beast.

Um, but what curious to see is what I'm going to be watching end of day is if price can reclaim this 948 level. If we go to the one minute, as we see here, just at the open, price was above this level and now has since faded.

And if we turn on VWAP, price is still staying above this, which is a good sign for GEV. But I'd be curious to see if this 948 level if it gets um if we have a daily close below this level.

Then support-wise I'm looking for this top here at 8.94 um 89493 a horizontal support level and then also the nice swing trend line here from this pivot top of uh July 31st August 1st 2025 going through this price action here. you know, this is a less steep trend line, more long-term.

Um, but if price got down kind of with this pivot top correlating around 840, 850, right in this area, should price flush down from this trend line here, this is where I will be waiting kind of in that zone.

Sorry, that's not the tool that I wanted to do. Let's try that again. Yeah, and this kind of this zone where this pivot consolidation shelf is and then with this rising long-term support trend line, this is where I would scoop some up to go long GEV.
