like Dell is up big today, but the stuff the stuff going on below the scenes, you know, below the iceberg, like we're an iceberg and a few stocks are sticking above the iceberg, but a few are below or a lot of them are below.
DELL — All updates
DELL — 20 entries on this page, 0 of them a change of direction.
Dude, look at Dell, man. I mean, like I I've always been like I like margin. Okay, I like really big pee pe. That's what we want. We want pricing power. We want margin. But dude, man, Dell, it's either a bubble or what.
But I mean, they bring money to the bottom line.
Here here are three for you, Amory. We've got Dell, Intel, and Rio. Rio is another copper miner. So, let's look at Dell really quickly and then um we'll talk about uh Riotinto. Okay.
I I do like them. So this is really breaking out hard. My thought is look at how many weeks it sat here. So I believe this breakout is real. And so if you want to give it a little time and say, "All right, where where is it headed?" you know 550 to 600 is entirely likely.
Part of the reason this price has dropped to less than one dollar is probably due to the release of open weight models, which are getting stronger day by day. This is actually a positive indicator for parts of the economy, and it is one of the reasons why Dell's stock, which we follow on the channel - make sure to subscribe - has skyrocketed.
the title of our stream today being uh Dell, where it's headed next. So I want to talk about Dell, where you see this name going after earnings, etc. So Dell uh reported after the close on Tuesday, a blowout report.
stock has been great since then. You and the inner circle were active in the name uh after hours like during the report response after hours on Tuesday. I know Kier was trading it.
Um yesterday the action a bit of a pullback yesterday.
We will continue to follow the news from Dell. We touched on "Deal" just two days ago after its big profits, and look at the follow-up movement that happened today. Yesterday, with the move above this descending trendline, I said it would likely be difficult for "Dell" to confirm this breakout.
Well, Dale mustered her strength and did so very clearly. A fantastic upward surge.
I mean, the Dell the Dell move yesterday was unbelievable. I I'm on the surface I'm disappointed because my bot made a mess of that trade. It just took a losing trade. It bought it at the wrong time and it missed the entire grind back.
But I think I've got code deployed to fix that. However, this is why the machines aren't taken over yet. Human beings would have had a much better job much better opportunity trading Dell yesterday.
I mean, it went for like 50 points intraday. Thing was an absolute monster.
Do I think Dell will get over 500? Dell was really hard yesterday. I'll tell you, you know, nice candle in Dell. Really nice candle. But, you know, I know very good traders yesterday that lost a lot of money in Dell. That was very predatory.
Well, what do I mean? Well, first of all, let's see what Dell's doing today. It's down eight. Okay, so maybe it's buyable. Look at what Dell did yesterday. Like Dell had to abuse everybody who bought a dip.
They really did. Like Dell opened up. Dell went from 480 down down almost flat. Like a strong stock post earnings is not supposed to do that.
Dell, the boring company that you bought your laptop from in 2004, well, their stock price is up 278% over the past year. They just reported earnings, absolutely crushed it, and the stock is up 8.78% on the day.
On my personal watch list, the 173 stocks I track, Dell is number one today with the largest gain. So, why has Dell been winning? Well, they just had the biggest quarter in their 42-year history.
Next, following up on Dell, folks, we reported on that after trading hours yesterday. I was highlighting the fact that if the price opens above the $468 level tomorrow. This will clear the area and remove the upper resistance, pushing Dell's stock higher above this descending trend line as a breakout.
But guys, look at the graph for 10 minutes. We did not open above that level. You can see that we opened at 462.05. Let me enlarge this drawing so that you can understand what really happened.
We hit the resistance trend line directly and by doing so broke through it . This is what can happen, guys, it's a bit like a trampoline when you jump on it. This line is like a trampoline.
Notice how the trampoline can push upwards, but at the end look at the rejection it faced there . This is the value used to determine a key breakout level. If the price opens above or below it, as I explained yesterday, it will have to expend a lot of energy to break through that level.
He has already tried to do that . It reached 483.94, which is much higher than the $468 level. But look at that reversal down to $432 and then back straight back to $497.99, forming a 10-minute top tail at the end of the day.
Wild price movement for Dell stock. But looking at the end of the day, what happened? The stock closed above this downtrend line. Now to confirm this type of closure, and to provide support for the downtrend line.
We need to see Deal close above this candle daily in the coming days . This will provide sufficient confidence and room away from the support level so that any pullbacks can be buying opportunities.
We'll see if Dell can achieve that feat tomorrow. Otherwise, near-term resistance, a double top here at $514. Given how Dell bounced today, I see no reason why it can't rise tomorrow if we have a similar day in the markets.
We uh are really looking at this rocket ship of Dell today which is really impressive. Uh Dell now up 10%. Now it's uh come off a line over here. We have a line at 417 really rocketing right off of that post earnings here.
Uh but we've been rubber banding around 417 on Dell for a while now coming back up to 466 which is also where we've been hanging out for a bit.
Well, I think when you look at Nvidia and Dell, their numbers confirm that capital spending on artificial intelligence and revenue growth are still ongoing.
There is a lot of good news from Dell, and a lot of good news from Nvidia. You have to choose one, and if I had to choose, I would choose Dell and Nvidia over Broadcom at this point.
Let's focus on the [music] one-day chart for Dell, the company getting some reaction after reporting earnings late yesterday. Remembering this has run up 250% this year into the print.
So, there had been a lot of high expectations. It cleared the bar. We're up another 4% right now.
Dell reporting earnings yesterday after the bell, amazing earnings, upping guidance even beyond expectations and and ultimately again a substantial move here um in the pre-market.
Now, I don't have a day trade level on this, but what I've noticed is that every time we tag this ascending trend line, we get a substantial pullback in Dell. Right here, right there, and right there.
So, what I'm going to look for is on a swing trade basis, if we get to about the 515 to 520 level, I will be eyeing this as a swing short. As a day trade, a I don't really have a good enough level.
It's a strong stock today in a neutral market. I'm going to leave it be at least for the time being.
Okay, let's talk Dell. As we went into its earnings, expectations were high, especially given the run that it's had, but look it uh knocked the ball out the park. Yeah, I mean the bar was high, but they beat every metric.
They raised guidance. You look at revenue overall grew 58% year-over-year. That beat by over $2 billion as far as revenue expectations. Adjusted EPS was up 203% year-over-year to $7.04. That was above the expected about $4.90.
Del just smashed earnings, suggesting the AI overbuild is nowhere close to finishing, which has been consistent with the thesis given that we really believe that the money coming from SpaceX and other companies is going to keep going into this vortex, whether it's the anthropic IPO or money raising, debt financing, whatever, it's all just going to kind of keep cycling into these AI hardware companies.
Just EPS came in at $74. That is well ahead of estimates for $4.92. Revenue was 46.97 billion, topping expectations of 44.92 billion. AI optimized server revenue that came in ahead of expectations at 16.4 billion, up 27% year-over-year, even against what was a very tough comp after last year's blowout growth.
I've got let's see Dell slipin
And Dell tonight, I think Dell's going to be pretty good. I love those guys. They uh they're they're basically the way uh they're helping Jensen play in the enterprise.
But but then again, you look at a company like Dell. Holy smokes. I mean, talk about low margins from um you know, AI server data center hardware and crushing it.
it's a down day for a lot of the AI trade, Dell included. But we do have Dell reporting later today. So, let's go inside out and preview that report.
What are we expecting from Dell tonight? I mean, what have they got to say? Are we going to keep seeing AI demand offsetting the memory pressures? I do think Dell is in a very good position to figure out a way to offset that.
You know, they're the largest of those uh kind of OEM system integrators uh in this space and they have a lot more pricing power than some of the smaller some of the smaller options.
and this week we'll see names like Dell reporting tomorrow.
So, let's look at Dell here. They had their AI server revenue jump to north of $16 billion last quarter. Its AI backlog was north of $51 billion. There was discussion then around whether this was just a massive backlog story or if this was a sustainable earning story.
